Turning a critically acclaimed series into a cultural obsession.
The Challenge
Industry had earned rave reviews and a loyal audience, but it hadn't yet broken into mainstream culture. HBO needed Season 4 to become more than a television premiere. It needed to become a conversation. The challenge was finding a way to introduce the show's world to new audiences while maintaining the credibility that made fans love it in the first place.
Our Approach
Rather than marketing Industry like a television series, RQ treated it like a cultural movement. We built a season-long influencer and experiential strategy that blurred the line between fiction and reality, inviting creators and fans to step inside the world of the show.
From a fictional corporate creator conference inspired by the series to a global partnership with Boiler Room, every activation was designed to feel authentic to the show's themes while creating moments people genuinely wanted to attend, capture, and share. The result was an earned-first campaign that transformed viewers into participants and generated conversation far beyond traditional entertainment media.
The Impact
The campaign helped elevate Industry from a critically acclaimed series into one of the year's most talked-about entertainment launches. Creator content reached millions of viewers, experiential moments generated widespread social and editorial coverage, and the campaign drove meaningful audience growth throughout the season. More importantly, HBO established Industry as a true cultural property, one that lived well beyond the screen through communities, creators, and conversation.
